House Rules



 

General provision.

Article 1 Unless stipulated otherwise in the statutes and all decisions made by the General Assembly, the internal affairs of the association are regulated by these house rules.

 

Definitions

Article 2 1) SWU Thymos: Wageningen University Sports Foundation Thymos

2) NeFUB: Dutch Floorball and Unihockey Federation.
3) USB: University Sports Center “De Bongerd.”

4) Student: IAnyone enrolled as a full-time student, PhD candidate (AIO), or research assistant (OIO) at Wageningen University and Research Center or at Christian University of Applied Sciences Ede

5) Non-student: Anyone who cannot be classified as a student.

6) Sports Card: Card issued by USB that entitles the holder to use the facilities within specified limits.

 

The board.

Article 3 1) A board member makes themselves available for the term prescribed in the statutes. Resignation is announced in writing in the invitation to the General Assembly at least 7 days in advance to ensure continuity. If, due to force majeure, a board member cannot announce their decision in advance, it is up to the other board members to decide whether to appoint an interim board member until the next general meeting

2) The chairperson: The responsibilities of the chairperson include:

  1. Convening the General Assembly

  2. Chairing the General Assembly.

  3. Chairing the board meetings.

  4. Facilitating coordination among board members.

  5. Maintaining contacts with other associations and organizations.

  6. Convening board meetings.

3) The secretary: The responsibilities of the secretary include:

  1. Handling correspondence (incoming and outgoing documents).

  2. Maintaining the membership list.

  3. Maintaining the association’s archive.

  4. Taking minutes of the General Assembly and board meetings.

  5. Vice-chair, taking over the duties of the chairperson in their absence..

4)The treasurer: The responsibilities of the treasurer include:

  1. Managing funds.

  2. Making payments and keeping track of receipts and expenditures.

  3. Overseeing the assets of the association.

5)Commissioner of committees: The responsibilities of the Commissioner of committees include:

  1. Promoting communication between the board and the committees.

  2. Coordinating the committees.

  3. Coordinating activities aimed at increasing the association’s or unihockey’s general visibility..

6)The board also shares the collective responsibility for carrying out the following tasks but may assign them to a board member through mutual agreement:

  1. Pursuing policy objectives.

  2. Reporting on the past association year at the first General Assembly of the association year, both orally and with a secretarial annual report.

  3. Coordinating activities aimed at increasing the association’s or unihockey’s general visibility.

  4. Coordinating committees.

The general assembly.

Article 4 1)During the first half of the association year, the following points are addressed at a General Assembly (ALV):

  1. Report on the past year by the chairperson.

  2. Accountability by the treasurer for the financial resources of the past year.

  3. Report of the audit committee regarding the accountability by the treasurer.

  4. Report of the audit committee regarding the accountability by the treasurer.

  5. Budget for the upcoming fiscal year.

  6. Approval of the membership fee for the coming year

  7. The discretionary amount allocated by the board (Art 5.3).

  8. Composition of the board and committees.

Indien het niet mogelijk is al deze punten op de jaarvergadering te behandelen, dan wordt drie weken later een nieuwe algemene ledenvergadering gehouden waarop de resterende punten worden behandeld.

2)f it is not possible to address all these points at the annual meeting, a new general assembly will be held three weeks later to address the remaining points.Decisions of the General Assembly are valid only with a minimum attendance of 25% of the members + the number of board members. If there are not enough members present, no decisions will be made at the ALV, and another ALV will be held three weeks later. If an ALV is postponed due to low attendance, the relevant decisions can be made at the next ALV with low attendance.

 

Finances.

Article 5 1)Membership fees are collected on October 1

2) The board requires approval from the General Assembly for decisions to enter into legal 

                             transactions and make investments as mentioned in the statutes, Article 9, paragraph 2, 

                            exceeding €100

3)In case of a lawful cash deficit, the board convenes an ALV to decide on actions to resolve the cash deficit as soon as possible.

 

Members.

Article 6 1) The unihockey association consists of 1 category of members. Members:

  1. support the unihockey association according to the statutes.

  2. Pay an annual membership fee determined by the ALV.

  3. Have NeFUB membership

  4. Have the opportunity to participate in association activities.

  5. Have the opportunity to join committees and the board.

  6. Have the opportunity to participate in the NeFUB competition.

2)Training sessions are the responsibility of USB and are therefore only accessible to members. New members can get acquainted with the association during introductory training sessions held at least twice a year. The dates are determined by the board.

3)When students become members after January, they only need to pay half of the membership fee for that fiscal year.

4) The registration costs for the competition are evenly distributed among the members who play one or more competition matches, regardless of the number of matches played.

 

Donors.

Article 7 In addition to members, the association also has the option to have donors, as mentioned in Article 6 of the statutes. Donors are obliged to make an annual financial contribution.

 

Connections

Article 8 The unihockey association is affiliated with two organizations, namely:

1 Wageningen University Sports Foundation Thymos, abbreviated as SWU Thymos.

2 Dutch Floorball and Unihockey Federation, abbreviated as NeFUB.
              These affiliations have several facilities:

1 SWU Thymos

a The association is eligible for certain subsidies.

b The association can use SWU Thymos’ properties.

2 NeFUB

a The association can participate in courses and competitions organized by NeFUB.

                             These affiliations have several obligations:

1 SWU Thymos

a Every member must be a sports card holder.

b The association and its members must comply with all regulations and statutes of SWU Thymos.

2 NeFUB

a Every member pays the NeFUB membership fee annually. This amount is a fixed part of the membership fee and is paid annually by the association to NeFUB.

b The association and its members must comply with all regulations and statutes of NeFUB.

 

Tournament participation. 

Article 9 Every member is entitled, as described in Article 6, to participate in tournaments. Entry fees are settled before the tournament, and travel expenses and additional costs are settled by the responsible person after the tournament.

 

 

Other association activities.

Article 10 Every member is entitled, as described in Article 6, to participate in activities. Entry fees are settled before the activity, and travel expenses and additional costs are settled by the responsible person after the activity.



Liability.

Article 11 The association is legally liable as a legal entity. For all other cases, no liability is accepted.



Refereen and Financial support costs

Article 12 The association pays for the referee course if the referee actively officiates for a year. If a referee stops officiating during the year, the referee reimburses the full course fee. Members who take a referee course are eligible for the SWU Thymos coach development subsidy. This subsidy covers a maximum of 1/3 of the course costs. The conditions are described in the House Rules of SWU Thymos

 

Final provision.

 

Article 13 In any case where statutes, decisions of the General Assembly, and house rules do not provide clarity, the board can make a decision that is binding until the next General Assembly. This board decision must not contradict statutes, previous General Assembly decisions, or house rules.
